Registration opens May 6 for an exciting weekend of fly fishing at New Hampshire’s Coleman State Park with the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program. The course takes place Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23, 2019. The cost for the workshop is $270 which includes instruction, lodging, some equipment, dinner, breakfast, and snacks. Participants should bring their own lunch for Saturday. We’ll let you know what else to bring once you’re registered.
Participants must register online at www.nhbow.com. Registration is first-come, first-served and space is limited. All participants must be age 18 or older.
The goal of this course is to help attendees move towards independence as fly anglers. Some of the topics that will be covered are: the finer points of casting including accuracy, timing, and shooting the line; reading the water; picking the proper fly and knowing how to cast it; what to do when you catch a fish; and ethics. Participants will have the opportunity to fish both still and moving water. Attendees must supply their own rod and reel. A fishing license is not required during scheduled class time.
Your accommodations will be the Lodges at beautiful Coleman State Park in Stewartstown, NH. Learn more about the park at www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/cabin-rentals-at-coleman-estates
New Hampshire Becoming an OutdoorsWoman programs are co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (www.wildnh.com) and the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation (www.nhwf.org).
